Shipping & Details

Where do you ship from?

We are based in Malaysia. All of our items would be shipped from HYANG STUDIO 28, Jalan Setia Tropika, U13/18K, Setia Eco Park, 40170, Selangor, Malaysia

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship to Malaysia & Singapore, and we're planning to ship worldwide in the future. If you are from other countries and intend to purchase, kindly inform our support squad for more details.

How long is the processing time?

We do take 1-3 working days to prepare, pack and fulfill every order. All the essential oils would be freshly blended and bottled.

How long is the delivery?

All West Malaysia package should take around 1 - 3 working days from the estimated date of shipment given.

All East Malaysia package should take around 5 - 9 working days from the estimated date of shipment given.

All Singapore package should take around 5 - 9 working days from the estimated date of shipment given.

All worldwide package should take around 10 + working days from the estimated date of shipment given.

This excludes weekends & public holidays.

What is your return policy?

All essential oil sales are final and non-refundable.

Hyang Studio Merchandise - Please note that exchanges are only available if you have received a damaged order.

Exchanges and refunds will not be given for items ordered in the wrong size, colour, or quantity, so make sure to review your order before making payment. Only if the item you've received is defective or damaged, you may send your exchange request to support squad within 7 days of receiving.

The condition of the product will be reviewed by Hyang Studio upon receiving it and the exchange will proceed once the product has been approved. Exchanges are based on availability of stock, so unfortunately, if the product has been sold out, we will proceed with a refund.

If we do not receive it within the given time frame, we will not proceed with the request. Please ensure that the product is new, unused, with no additional damage, and in the original box or packaging with no evidence of service, alteration, wear of any kind.

Please note that Hyang Studio does not cover the cost of any return shipping. If the non-faulty returned product is found to be defective, Hyang Studio will send it back to the customer.

Does the shipping cost include the customs, duties or taxes for international orders?


Normally, we will declare the item as a gift for international customers to help avoid heavy taxes. For Singapore customer, you will be charged when your order amount is exceed SGD400 only.

Customs, duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping cost. We ship all international orders delivery duties unpaid (DDU), which means any fees are charged once the parcel reaches its destination and must be paid by the recipient.

Unfortunately these fees are beyond our control, and we are unable to cover them for our customers.

Do you have next / same day delivery?

We do offer same day delivery for our customers, the fare will be borne by our customers. Please email our support squad for the arrangement. We will send the parcel with Lalamove / Grab Delivery.

Can I pick up an order or drop off a return from your headquarters?

Unfortunately, this option is not available due to COVID-19 pandemic.

I've made a mistake and need to change my shipping address. How do I do it?

You can make changes to your shipping address before we fulfill your order. Just drop an email to our support squad with your order details and new shipping address.

How do I track my package?

You’ll receive a tracking number in a separate email from your confirmation email.

If you have not received your tracking number for pre-order item purchased within 14 working days of making your purchase, please drop an email with your order number to our support squad.

  

  

Orders & Payment

I haven’t received my order confirmation email, what should I do?

If you have not received your order confirmation email within 24 hours of making your purchase, please drop us an email at support squad together with your order number, and we’ll look into it for you.

What should I do if I receive the wrong product?

We're so sorry for the issue. Please kindly drop an email to support squad with your attachment and order ID, and we'll look into it for you.

I’ve been charged wrongly for my purchase, what should I do?

Most of the payment will be collected securely from our payment provider. If you accidentally made a wrong item purchased, kindly email to our  support squad including your order ID and details.

I made two or more orders, can I combine my orders?

We will ship our customers order together if we found out they have 2 or more different orders with a same shipping address. 

I have pre-order items and in stock items in my purchase. Can you ship the in stock items first?

We will only ship when all the items you purchased are in stock. If you wish to get the in stock items first, kindly purchase with two or more separate orders.

Can I choose the currency I pay in?

We do have a currency converter in the bottom left corner of our website. Basically it can be used as a reference. We will collect all the payment in Malaysia Ringgit ( MYR ) only.

Can I use multiple promo codes at checkout?

The answer is no. Our website service provider only allow 1 promo code / active discount at the same time.

What forms of payment do you accept?

At the moment, we only accept payments from Visa or Mastercard credit and debit cards.

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Sometimes it’s called essential oil therapy. Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit. It enhances both physical and emotional health.

Your essential oils cost less than other brands, how can you offer such low prices?

At Hyang Studio, we’ve established long-standing relations with our essential oil vendors, and we purchase our oils in large quantities that qualify for bulk discounts, which we then pass on to consumers in the form of everyday low pricing. We also sell direct to our customers instead of going through distributors, which can add as much as 30% or more expensive markup to a product’s cost.

It’s always best when people asked why are our price so much lower than the traditional essential oil companies. The question shouldn’t be why are our prices so low, but rather, why do our competitors price their products so high? We use the same quality essential oils as other companies. We just choose to price our essential oils with the best interests of the consumer in mind. We can offer essential oils of comparable quality at a lower price.

  

 

  

About Essential Oils

Essential Oil VS. Aroma Oil

Essential Oil (also known as aromatherapy oil) is the genuine extract of aromatic plant with proven therapeutic benefits on our body and emotion. Each plants species has different therapeutic benefits such as assisting sleep, boosting immunity, and etc.

Aroma Oil on the other hand, is made from synthetic fragrance and sometimes added with artificial properties to enhance the aroma. While Aroma Oil focus on its scent to adjust the mood, it often embodies a more aggressive smell with NO therapeutic benefit.

Are HYANG essential oils watered down or diluted?

Hyang Studio essential oils are pure and natural. No synthetic fragrance, harmful chemical, or unnatural component of any kind is added during any stages of the distillation process. We do also offer a variety of essential oils blend which are 100% pure without any bases, additives and carrier oils.

Can I ingest HYANG essential oils?

We know that most people use essential oils for self-medication, but since we are not licensed aromatherapists, we cannot recommend internal use. We do not know what medications, quantities and allergies you may have and want to be certain that our customers are safe.

Can I use HYANG essential oils topically (on skin)?

The answer is YES and NO. We don't recommend to apply 100% pure essential oils directly onto your skin but you may dilute the essential oils with a carrier oil if you wish to use it topically.

To avoid the risk of large area skin irritation and allergies, we suggest you to do a patch test before trying to apply the essential oils on larger area of your skin. To do a patch test, place a small amount of the diluted oil on your inner wrist or below your ear. Wait 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs. If you find yourself having an allergy, thoroughly wash the affected skin with gentle soap and cool water. You can also apply a mild hydrocortisone cream to the rash to relieve itching. If you get essential oil in your eyes, flush your eyes with cool water and seek medical advice immediately.

Some oils especially those extracted from citrus can cause photosensitivity when the skin is exposed to sunlight after use. Avoid using Citrus oils like Bergamot, Orange, Lemon or Mandarin on any areas of skin that will be exposed to the sun within 12 hours.

Oil that you definitely want to avoid using on skin are those consist of Cinnamon. Cinnamon oil can be hyper-stimulating on the skin if you're not careful. It might cause burning and stinging sensation and irritation, even if it is diluted.

Can I use EOs on infant or children?

Generally, our products are made for adult use only. Unless a product is specifically made for infants and children, we generally do not recommend using these products on infants or children.

Are essential oils safe to diffuse around my pets?

Our pets are as unique as us and pets are generally more sensitive to essential oils than humans are, so we suggest checking with your vet before bringing any oils into your home. While diffusing oils, start with small amounts of oils (5 drops maximum), carefully observe how your pet reacts and make sure there is a route for them to escape when they feel uncomfortable. Make sure to turn the diffuser off before you leave the house, to store it out of reach (it’s best to keep bottles securely stored, as well) and do not apply topically or orally to your pets.

Are essentials oils safe to use during pregnancy?

Certain oils are not recommended for use during the full term of pregnancy, especially the herbs. There are however certain oils such as Lavender, Roman Chamomile and Mandarin which can provide emotional centering and comfort to the mind and body during this time. Hence, we care more about the safety of our customers than selling a product; which is why we go to great lengths to ensure all of our oils are free from adulterants such as pesticides, synthetics, fertilizers, GMOs, etc.

With that said, using essential oils in pregnancy and breastfeeding can be beneficial, but there are safety issues which should be assessed. Pregnant women should consult their healthcare professional before using essential oils. Essential oils should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy or with difficult and unstable pregnancies.

Can essential oils expired?

The shelf life of the finest quality essential oils that are kept in an airtight, high-quality glass bottle is basically indefinite. However, we do suggest our customers to use the essential oils within 24 months after opening to enjoy the best aromatherapy experience.

Where should I store my essential oils?

All the essential oils are bottled in 30ml recyclable glass bottle with rubber dropper and came with recyclable box to protect the essential oils from ultraviolet rays. We advise storing them in a room temperature environment, always keep the essential oil glass in the box with the lid tightly capped and make sure your essential oil is not exposed directly to the sunlight. Essential oils are volatile compounds. They are sensitive to heat and oxygen, and they can lose their potency if they are not cared for properly. Do not store Essential Oils in hot, bright, or humid areas, such as in the bathroom, near a stove, on a window sill or other sunny area, and any places where constantly shifting room temperatures might potentially cause the quality of the oil to deteriorate faster.
